Health Information Management Supervisor

Under general supervision Health Information Management Supervisor, supervises the activities of clerical staff for one or more assigned areas of the department (i.e., release of information, and or record completion. Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to assigned clerical activities, including process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Associates level of knowledge in health information management. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
  • prefer experience with an EHR
  • At least two years progressively more responsible related experience, including demonstrated supervisory and management skills. Experience must demonstrate working knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality laws related to medical information, TJC standards and familiarity with computerized systems.
